Pizza Baby! and Almond Maraschino Cherry Cookies

Um....might I say that this night has been a very delicious night. Amy, these are for you~ as always! Pizza Baby!!! Dough: 1 cup warm water 1/2 TBS yeast 1/2 TBS sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup flour Stir with a wisk!!! Then, add and knead in 1 1/2 MORE cups of flour Don't add too much flour! That's the key to baby butt soft bread dough. Let rise for 10 minutes. Pam spray the pizza pan. Roll out the dough in a round pizza shape and cook for 3-5 minutes. This just gives the bread a head start to make sure it bakes and isn't doughy. Take the dough out and add: Add Pizza Sauce (I just used Ragu Homestyle), Cheddar/Mozz Shredded Cheese, Just a titch of garlic salt- sprinkle over the cheese, then add pepperoni, then freshly shredded parmesean cheese and a little more cheddar/mozz cheese. I sprinkled a little parsley just for color. I firmly believe that appearance is 1/2 of the flavor :-)!!! Bake for 10 more minutes or until done. Enjoy!!! Yum, yum, YUM! Maraschino Cherry Cookies Mix together:

  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tsp almond

Mix and add:

  • 2 cups granola ("Simple Truth" Mixed Berry Granola is divine in these cookies!  (picture below)  Just remember to remove all the berries - or as much as you can.

Then add:

  • 1/3 cup maraschino cherries, chopped

The cherries are the last thing you mix in. Then, bake for 10-12 minutes at 350'F- 375'F.

REMEMBER!!!!!! Cookies keep cooking after you take them out of the oven. So, DON'T over cook them. No one likes (or should like) a crumbly cookie! Enjoy warm of cooled.
