MMMMMmmmm!

Deb’s Devilish Cake
Cake:

1 devil’s food cake mix

Make according to package instructions, but:

Grease a 10x15 pan.

Pour in 1/2 the batter.

Put a layer of wax paper in the bottom of another 10 x 15 pan. Pour in other 1/2 of batter in this pan.

Bake about 10 minutes according to heat on package directions but only for about 10 minutes as these make thin layers.

Let cool completely.

Filling:

Cook in saucepan until it becomes a thick lump of paste and let cool completely:

1 c. milk

5 TBS flour

Whip together:

½ c. butter

½ c. Crisco

1 c. sugar

Add cooled lump of paste to butter mixture. Whip for another 3-4 min. until sugar is dissolved.

Layer:

Cake- Filling- Cake

Frosting:

In a saucepan, heat the following and let it boil for 2 minutes while stirring continually:

1 ¼ c. sugar

6 TBS milk

6 TBS butter

Add 1 cup chocolate chips & stir until lightly thickened. While it is still hot, spread over the top of the cake. Enjoy!!!
